James Blocksom's Retirement Announcement

Brothers and sisters, members of International Chapel,

I wish to announce my resignation from the leadership of International Chapel Ministries as of January 19, 2010. I no longer feel physically and mentally able to serve in this capacity.

On January 12, I appointed Chris Momose to take over as the administrative head of ICM Japan, and the other pastors unanimously approved. He will also continue to serve with Peter Blocksom and Gregg Hutton on the pastoral committee that supervises the ministry of ICM. In accordance with the Articles of Administration for International Chapel Ministries, there will need to be a congregational meeting for the members to officially vote on this appointment, but Chris is now serving as director provisionally until the congregational meeting.

I want to thank all those who have served the Lord at Chapel with Barbara and me in various capacities throughout the years since our beginning 28 years ago. You may be sure that the Lord will richly reward your service to Him.

I ask that you pray and work with the pastoral team as they lead Chapel into this new phase in the life of our church.
