12/21~25 - Christmas Celebrations

Kyoto Chapel and Ikoma Chapel celebrating Christ's birth with Christmas music and performances by a various members and children that Sunday. The celebration continued through the week with events like the Christmas Potluck at Ikoma on the 23rd and other private parties on the 25th.

9/13 (Sat) KIC Summer Festival

There was booths with food & drinks as well as booths with games for kids. It was an opportunity to have contact with the neighbors around KIC, but we also seeing others from Chapel participate and having a good time of fellowship.

8/29 Good-bye to the Goss Family

The Goss family (Jon, ChaCha and Jake) have moved to the US. Jon Goss came to Chapel to help with the construction of KIC 10 years ago. He became a member after that and taught English classes and later became a pastor. ChaCha has been at Chapel for more than 20 years and has served in a variety of ways too - interpreting, doing editing and copyrighting. We are thankful for all the time we have had with the Gosses - as brothers and sisters and as friends. We will miss them greatly. Please remember them in prayer.

8/10 (Sun) Concert: Billy and Motoi Petite

Billy was raised in Kagoshima - a child of missionaries. Motoi was raised in Akita - a child of Christian parents. Both attended Cedarville College in Ohio intending to prepare themselves for mission work. Motoi writes music and at Chapel, we have heard one of her songs 'Eien kara Eien ni' (sung for Easter and at a recent wedding).

6/29 (Sun) Last Sunday Service at MIC

June 29, 2008 was the last Sunday for Moriguchi International Chapel. MIC was started almost 18 and a half years ago, and many people have come to know the Lord during that time. There was a special final church service featuring heart-filled testimonies from some of the people who trusted in the Lord at MIC over the years... Click here to read more

May - Movie: PRINCE CASPIAN

In May 2008, Japan welcomed the premiere of Disney's second installment from their adaptation of C.S. Lewis' famous Chronicles of Narnia series. As of Nov. 21, it is now also available in Japan on DVD. Official Movie Info

1/06 (Sun) Joint New Years Service & Baptism

We began the morning with a members ceremony and then had a worship together to start the New Year. After lunch, four new believers were baptized. Beforehand, some gave a short testimony on how the Lord saved them from their sins. If you are interested in getting a copy of their testimony (sorry, Japanese only), please contact us.
