12/23 - ICM Christmas Celebration

At Ikoma chapel there was a potluck lunch and informal time of caroling and fellowship.

10/11 - Pastor Hidenori Tamura (Kyoto)

The chaplain of the Yodogawa Christian Hospital, Pastor Hidenori Tamura, gave the Bible Hour message "Herein is Love" (I John 4:7-10). He also shared a seminar in the afternoon about sharing the gospel and visiting the sick.

10/04 - Baptism (Ikoma)

9/26 - "Indian Summer" Festival (Kyoto)

Kyoto Chapel hosted another annual festival. However, this one was a little later than normal. Like in previous years, there were booths with food & drinks as well as games for the children.

7/26 - Dr. Akira Horiuchi Talk

Dr. Akira Horiuchi, founder of the Grace Mission church in Yao City, Osaka, was a guest speaker during FICs Bible Hour. The Grace Mission group consists of 17 churches, mostly in the Kansai area.

Dr. Horiuchi is also the chairman for Food for the Hungry International Federation

6/28 -Barbara Gish Bennett Concert and Missions Presentation

Barbara Gish Bennett (missionary and ICM's former choir director) and her family visited Japan enroute to the USA from their missionary activity in Africa. She presented a mini concert and they briefly presented their ministry in Rwanda.

4/12 - Easter Celebrations

This year, ICM added a few new ways to celebrate Easter. First was on Good Friday evening. The movie "The Passion" was watched and it was followed by the Lord Supper. Then on Sunday, Kyoto Chapel offered a sunrise celebration service and finished with a fellowship over breakfast.

3/15,4/19, 5/17, 5/24 - Noah's Ark Series

Dr. Kazuko Ando gives a series on Noah’s Ark. Dr. Ando majored in biochemistry at Osaka Univ. before going on to receive her doctorate in science at Tokyo Univ. After studying and teaching for 5 years in the U.S., she was the head of the Merrell Dow Research Lab before going on to teach biochemistry at the Osaka Univ. School of Science. In 2004, she became head of the Biology Dept. at Kyoto International University.
