6/20 Aaron, Crystal, & Caia Wilson

"Dear Friends and Chapel, We have enjoyed and been blessed during the past 6 years at Chapel. Thank you so much for your kindness and in.terest in us and prayers for us as a family. We praise God for giving us a beautiful Japanese daughter, Caia Abigail, who we adopted last year. God has guided us to return to Canada to continue ministry there, and although we will be very sad to leave Japan and our friends here, we are excited about the next chapter of our lives."

5/30 Guest Speaker: Pastor Jose Shiratori (Kyoto)

Pastor Jose Shiratori of the Brazilian church, Hirakata Alianca Church, with his translator, Igor Kudoh, was the guest speakering. Pastor Shiratori has lived in Japan for 18 years and has been a pastor for 12 years. He and his wife, Darlene, have a son, Rafael, and a daughter, Rebekah. They came, along with several of their members, to help us at the Indian Summer Festival last fall.

5/23 Global Day of Prayer

On Pentecost Sunday, ICM joined Christians from around the world to pray for God to pour out His Spirit upon the lost, and to bring salvation and healing to the world and repentance to His Church. 5/04 Softball & Picnic (Ide-cho)

As part of the Golden Week holiday, Chapel sponsered a family picnic and softball event at Taisho Ike Green Park ball field in Ide-cho. In addition to softball and picnicking, there was time to enjoy the trails around Taisho Ike (the lake) and enjoy a fun day outdoors.

4/25 Gideon International Presentation (Ikoma)

During the Bible Hour at Ikoma Chapel, Mr. Hideo Saito from Gideon International was our guest speaker.

4/11 Junko Cheng Concert (Kyoto)

Junko was raised in Osaka until her family moved to the United States when she was almost 9 years old and they have lived in California ever since. One day she was invited to church and she learned that God loves her unconditionally and that she could enter into His Kingdom just by accepting God's only Son Jesus Christ into her heart. Today, she knows that her ultimate homeland is neither Japan nor America. Her true homeland is in heaven, where she will spend time With Christ forever in the ultimate "Land of the Rising Sun." http://www.junko.com

4/02~4/04 - Easter Celebrations

This year, ICM added a few new ways to celebrate Easter. First was on Good Friday evening. Then on Sunday, Ikoma Chapel offered a sunrise celebration service and finished with a fellowship over breakfast.

2/11 Thank You Party for Jim and Barb

At Ikoma Chapel, a special party was heard on February 11 to show appreciation to James and Barbara Blocksom for their 28 years of service to the Lord and International Chapel. Jim resigned as head of ICM on January 19, 2009. You can read his resignation accouncement here.
