12/31 End of Year Event (Ikoma)At Ikoma Friendly Hall, there was a time of praise and prayer that evening.
12/23 Christmas Celebration (Ikoma)At Ikoma Friendly Hall, there was an all-Chapel Christmas party to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. There was pot-bless and praise time with a party afterwards.
12/19 Christmas Youth Praise & Worship Time (Ikoma)At the Ikoma Chapel's Main Hall, there was a praise & worship time for the youth (MS/HS, college students, and younger workers) to celebrate Jesus' birth. There was a time to praise God, listen to testimonies, and enjoy fellowship.
11/21 Pot-bless Lunch (Kyotanabe)Pot-bless lunch after services. In addition to the fellowship of eating together, we had singing and games and thoughts on thankfulness and celebration of the Lord's blessings upon us.
11/14 International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (Worldwide)ICM joined in the largest global prayer event for persecuted Christians.
10/11 A Day of Prayer (Ikoma)Ikoma Friendly Hall was opened all day for a time of prayer.
10/24 Baptism (Ikoma)In the afternoon in front of Ikoma Friendly Hall, there was a time of celebration as many new brothers and sisters in Christ were baptized.

8/21 River Barbeque (Kyotanabe)A day event at Kizu River of barbecue for Kyoto Chapel families.
8/14 Summer Praise, Prayer & Pool (Ikoma)A time of eating and fellowshipping with friends at Friendly Hall. Later, a bus took the children swimming, while the adults joined in praise and prayer.
8/07 Old Friendly Chapel Cleaning (Ikoma)We cleaned and thanked God for the old Friendly Chapel after Jim and Barb moved to their new home on August 5.
7/21~ 7/23 Summer Youth CampThe youth travelled to Nushima for a summer camp.
7/17 Youth Event Banana Cup 2010 (Ikoma)Almost 30 people attended for this day event to enjoy a hot summer day together. There were games (like “Frozen T-Shirt,” “Banana Relay,” “Ninja Tag,” “Human Foosball”) and tasty food (Sloppy-Joes and Banana sundaes). Afterward, there was a time of praise & worship and Josiah Momose gave his testimony about grace. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves.
7/11 Guest Speaker (Kyotanabe)Guest Speaker from Gideons International Kyoto Branch spoke during Bible Hour at Kyoto Chapel.
7/04 Steve & Karen Moore (Kyotanabe)This was Steve & Karen Moore's last Sunday at Chapel before returning home on July 7th. So with the help of our brothersfrom Hirakata Alianca Church, there was an afternoon barbeque fellowship time on the Moore's behalf. Please contact us if you didn't have an opportunity to thank Steve & Karen for their work over the past five months.
6/20 Aaron, Crystal, & Caia Wilson"Dear Friends and Chapel, We have enjoyed and been blessed during the past 6 years at Chapel. Thank you so much for your kindness and in.terest in us and prayers for us as a family. We praise God for giving us a beautiful Japanese daughter, Caia Abigail, who we adopted last year. God has guided us to return to Canada to continue ministry there, and although we will be very sad to leave Japan and our friends here, we are excited about the next chapter of our lives."
5/30 Guest Speaker: Pastor Jose Shiratori (Kyotanabe)Pastor Jose Shiratori of the Brazilian church, Hirakata Alianca Church, with his translator, Igor Kudoh, was the guest speakering. Pastor Shiratori has lived in Japan for 18 years and has been a pastor for 12 years. He and his wife, Darlene, have a son, Rafael, and a daughter, Rebekah. They came, along with several of their members, to help us at the Indian Summer Festival last fall.
5/23 Global Day of PrayerOn Pentecost Sunday, ICM joined Christians from around the world to pray for God to pour out His Spirit upon the lost, and to bring salvation and healing to the world and repentance to His Church. 5/04 Softball & Picnic (Ide-cho)As part of the Golden Week holiday, Chapel sponsered a family picnic and softball event at Taisho Ike Green Park ball field in Ide-cho. In addition to softball and picnicking, there was time to enjoy the trails around Taisho Ike (the lake) and enjoy a fun day outdoors.
4/25 Gideon International Presentation (Ikoma)During the Bible Hour at Ikoma Chapel, Mr. Hideo Saito from Gideon International was our guest speaker.
4/11 Junko Cheng Concert (Kyotanabe)Junko was raised in Osaka until her family moved to the United States when she was almost 9 years old and they have lived in California ever since. One day she was invited to church and she learned that God loves her unconditionally and that she could enter into His Kingdom just by accepting God's only Son Jesus Christ into her heart. Today, she knows that her ultimate homeland is neither Japan nor America. Her true homeland is in heaven, where she will spend time With Christ forever in the ultimate "Land of the Rising Sun." http://www.junko.com
4/02~4/04 - Easter CelebrationsThis year, ICM added a few new ways to celebrate Easter. First was on Good Friday evening. Then on Sunday, Ikoma Chapel offered a sunrise celebration service and finished with a fellowship over breakfast.
2/11 Thank You Party for Jim and BarbAt Ikoma Chapel, a special party was heard on February 11 to show appreciation to James and
Barbara Blocksom for their 28 years of service to the Lord and International Chapel. Jim resigned
as head of ICM on January 19, 2009. You can read his resignation

2/07 Mochitsuki PartyIn the afternoon, as a special event, Ikoma Chapel had a "Mochitsuki Party."
