The Passion: Why?

Why?

After seeing "The Passion of the Christ," many moviegoers leave the theater stunned and deeply moved by what they just saw. Many wonder "Why did this happen to Jesus Christ? Why did He let people do that to Him?" Many do not fully understand the meaning of what they just experienced or why they are so moved by it.

Mel Gibson's aim in making the movie was to depict the last 12 hours of Jesus' life in a way no other director ever has, and his movie is, indeed, very powerful. But Jesus' ministry of teaching, healing, and changing people's lives lasted over three years. For viewers to fully understand what "The Passion of the Christ" is all about, they need to understand what Jesus taught and what the Bible says about Jesus Christ.

Who was He?
What did He teach?
Why did He come to earth?
What does His death on the cross really mean?
And what can His resurrection mean to you personally?

The answers to these vital questions are found only in the Bible. The Bible is the best-selling book of all time, and there is a good reason for this. Over the centuries, hundreds of millions of people have found hope, peace, joy, unconditional love and freedom from guilt by reading the Bible and putting their faith in Jesus Christ.

You can you find the answers to the above questions at International Chapel, a church which believes the Bible and teaches it faithfully. We invite you to come and learn what the Bible says about Jesus, and about His unconditional love for you. By coming to know Jesus Christ, you will live a truly meaningful life.

International Chapel is a Protestant, Bible-believing church which meets every Sunday in three locations (Moriguchi, Ikoma, Kyo-tanabe). In addition to hearing easy-to-understand messages from the Bible in both English and Japanese, you can also learn and sing gospel music and study English at International Chapel.
